Redstone Engineering's Principal Engineer is Mr. Garnet Brenchley, P.Eng. Garnet has worked in the consulting geotechnical engineering industry since 1998 and is a Senior Engineer, licensed by the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO), a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and a member of the Canadian Geotechnical Society (CGS). Through his direct involvement in projects over this timespan, Garnet has developed expertise in soil and groundwater related studies throughout Ontario, primarily focused on Geotechnical Engineering to support design of Foundations (Buildings, Bridges / Culverts, Embankments), Pavement (Roadways, Parking Lots), Utility Installations (Open-trench, Trenchless), Slopes, and Geotechnical Inspections of Construction Sites. Garnet also has experience with performing Excess Soils Testing and Characterization, and Hydrogeological Assessments / Permits to Take Water (for water-supply as well as construction dewatering applications).
Garnet is a 1998 graduate of Queens University, with a degree in Mining Engineering. He grew up on a farm near Fenelon Falls, and has been based out of the Central Ontario (Peterborough and eastern GTA) area for the duration of his career. Garnet has established and maintains strong client relationships with a variety of clientele in this area including government (municipal, provincial, federal), developers, architects, institutional (school boards, hospitals), commercial, and contractors/builders. One of Garnet's strengths is communications, where he excels in working with Clients and their project teams to help develop value-driven solutions, and maintaining open dialogue with the Client and project team throughout.
